| Lake
Powell was formed between 1960 and 1980 when the Glen Canyon dam was
built along the Colorado River. Irreplaceable canyons and
wilderness areas were flooded and destroyed to create the reservoir,
Lake Powell. The lake is 186 miles long and up to 600 feet
deep. |
