| The road leading to the
Pahayokee Overlook always has potential for dramatic images. After
a storm dumped almost 20" of rain over South Florida in October,
2000,
I wanted to see how wet the Everglades would be. The road to
the Pahayokee Overlook was under water and closed to vehicle traffic, so
I walked through the road river one early morning and found many scenes
similar to this one, where it turned out that the water was at a record
high level for the everglades. |
