| Great Blue Herons are
majestic in flight. This beautiful bird is flying back to the nest
at the Venice Rookery.
The Venice Rookery is a tiny island in the middle of a burrow pit
behind the Highway Patrol station on US 41 in Venice, Florida.
It's administered by the Audubon Society and is called home by many
dozens of herons, anhingas and egrets during the nesting
