Last summer, 2001 my son Jerry and I arranged to meet for a mini-vacation in Northern Arizona during October, a great time to explore the wilderness there.  Jerry lives in New York City.  Little did we know that this would wind up being an "Escape from New York" for Jerry, after the chaos of 9-11.  It was a great trip, and our time spent together exploring the wilderness let us both return to our homes with rejuvenated spirits!  Some highlights are included here.
