| Many ______ trees have either died or been removed in Bosque del Apache over recent years. These trees are exotics and have threatened to engulf the native plants. This is an important flyaway and migratory zone for Sandhill cranes and other birds, and the abundance of these trees have affected the feeding and migratory habits of these species. A project is underway to remove these trees from the area. |  |
