| Access into Cottonwood Wash is normally via a six foot sheer drop from the trail. Luckily I had been told about an access point that was easier to use. Washes act like drains and are shaped by the forces of rainwater; the Cottonwood Wash is about two miles long. When I saw this Indian Paintbrush and weed growing on a ledge in the wash, I stopped and felt a strong spiritual presence. |  |
