Devil in the desert

Cliff Kolber

This Thorny Devil looks dangerous but is actually a very tame and soft skinned dragon.  This particular specimen is about 6"- 8" in length and was tame enough to allow us to hold him in the palm of our hands.

Although the thorns on his back look dangerous, they are soft, and are meant to scare away potential enemies on sight.
