On Maui, we stayed at an Outrigger resort – the Maui Eldorado.  Our rooms each had kitchens and laundry and the accommodations were outstanding.  Just a short stroll to our private beach on the Pacific or to the other Kaanapali resorts and activities.  We were there for four days and it was a great time for some serious relaxing and fun.  On the last day, we went to the Luau at the Royal Lahaina Resort, next door to our hotel.

The luau at the Polynesian Cultural Center might have had better food and entertainment, but this Luau had Mai-Tai’s and Lava Flows flowing all night!  (Alex, Madeline and Mari Rosi – we won’t tell anyone how many you had!)  Once more, we celebrated Bon’s 30th birthday since this was the last night we’d be together with her (she and Will stayed in Hawaii for another month).  It rained a little bit during the luau, but then again, it rained almost every day in Maui.  It was obvious why Hawaii is nicknamed the Rainbow State!  But with Mai-Tai's and Lava Flows flowing , who cared anyway!  We headed back to the rooms around 9:00 p.m. and crashed.
